Welcome to Wagga United FC. As a club, Wagga United has provided opportunities for children, young adults, men and women to engage in sporting competitions in Wagga and District for over 70 years. In fact the first reference to the Wagga United FC (previously known as Wagga United Sporting Club) dates back to 1927 when the club was asked to play an invitational game of football.
There has always been an emphasis on sporting development and a sense of fun and fair play. The club has earned an excellent reputation, which is reflected in the number of junior and senior teams it fields in the Wagga and District competition.
Wagga United’s base for training is Duke of Kent Oval in Central Wagga. Although, due to the state of the Duke of Kent Oval, for the 2010 season Wagga United Small Sided Games (U6's to U11's) and Juniors (U12's to U16's) will be training at Bolton Park, also in central Wagga.
In this 2010 season, we have well over 400 players in the Small Sided Games, Juniors and Seniors, both male and female wiith Wagga United. A testament to how much Wagga United has grown, particularly over the last few years.
In 2010, Wagga United fields 29 Small Sided Games teams, 7 Junior teams and 6 Senior teams as well as an U11 to U13 Girls team and an U14 to U16 Girls team in the Wagga and District Soccer Competition.
We pride ourselves that all the players and parents in Wagga United combine to make our "Wagga United Family". Sporstmanship, fairness and inclusivity are part of our club ethos.
Our 2009 Ladies team are the reigning champions in the Leonard Cup as are our 2009 U14's Crows team in the Juniors Division. In addition many of our teams were runners up in their respective grand finals.
The Wagga United Management Team have monthly meetings on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at the Sportsmens Hotel, our major sponsor. Everyone is most welcome to attend. Our management team for 2010 can be contacted via the main menu / management team with any enquiries or feedback.
Wagga United FC Inc are proud to announce our sponsors for the 2010 season. Please support them as they have supported you in your soccer club - Wagga United.
