Wagga United 3rd Grade
Saturday, 19 May 2012 19:57
This match put the Chris Cole Memorial Trophy up for grabs for the first time in the 2012 season. With there now being three Wagga United teams in third grade we should see more Wagga United versus Wagga United games this season, so we should see this trophy up for grabs between the Wagga United 3rd grade teams more often this season. I was one of only 5 spectators who had the privilege of watching these teams play today. This writer admits it has been far too long since I have had the opportunity to watch a 3rd grade game.
As I watched my son play in the youth league game immediately before the mens 3rd grade game, I was thinking of some "cheeky" comments I could write about the "senior" men for this article. I certainly wasted my time doing that, because this third grade game was one of the best games of football I have ever had the privelege to see. Each and every player gave it their all, with error free play, gutsy performances and outstanding work.

Match Report U14 Girls Rd 2 - 19 May 2012
Saturday, 19 May 2012 16:45
Wagga United would like to thank Brendan Flanagan for not only taking on writing the match report for the U14 girls team each week, but also submitting a fantastic piece of writing to start off the season Thank you Brendan, I will certainly look forward to your weekly report and I know our readers will too.
The Wagga United U14 Girls went into their round 2 match against Lake Albert confident after a convincing victory over Henwood Park in round 1. This week's encounter proved to be a much tighter contest, however. Wagga United showed some enterprising play to set up a number of shots at goal over the first 15 minutes or so of the game, however for much of the first half the score remained at 0 all despite both team's goal-keepers being tested a number of times. Wagga United finally managed to break through Lake Albert's strong defensive line late in the half with Georgina Flanagan drilling the ball into the back of the net. Wagga's first half goalie, Amy Gardner, was outstanding and Wagga went into the break 1-0 up. Wagga really hit their straps at the beginning of the second half and dominated play for much of the half with Georgina Flanagan zipping in another goal and Amy Gardner also scoring off a well executed strike. Charlotte Mosely and Peta Wright also went very

. Teams can nominate a parent to do this duty, perhaps take turns or the coach may prefer to write them. All players from our yongest ones to the seniors like to read about their teams and see team and game photos. Match reports are also about the positive aspects of the game, so please no negative comments.

These teams are in the newly formed Youth League which comprises U15, U16 and U17 teams playing each other. Both teams were the Grand Final winners in their respective U14 and U15 teams in 2011,

Team Sheet Rules
Sunday, 06 May 2012 22:46
The Team Sheet Book is a very important item in the team kit.
Wagga United (and all teams in the competition) will be fined by FWW for every breech related to the team sheets. This includes a $10. fine per offence for team managers of all age groups failing to place the team sheet in the allocated collection box BEFORE the collection time on the day of play. For the OSSF teams, the collection box is located at the canteen at the Duke of Kent Oval. Sheets are collected by a FWW representative after the last game (lunch time). For the other age groups, team sheets must be placed in the team sheet collection container at 10 Salmon Street Wagga Wagga (near Wagga Base Hospital).
In 2011 Wagga United were fined well in excess of $600. for breeches of the rules. In 2012 we are aiming for zero fines. Please help us to achieve this goal.
Please read the following instructions from FWW:
